
Sophia Bush
Sophia Bush is an acclaimed actress, producer, activist, and entrepreneur. She is a member of the Directors Guild of America and has starred in an impressive range of television and film projects including John Tucker Must Die, Incredibles 2, the CW’s hit series “One Tree Hill,” and Dick Wolf’s NBC hit series “Chicago PD.” Bush also starred in and served as a producer on the television series “Good Sam," for CBS. The show also starred Jason Isaacs and was written and executive produced by Katie Wech. Most recently, she joined the cast of Grey’s Anatomy as the recurring role of Dr. Cass Beckman.
Additionally, Bush recently starred in Bryan Greenberg’s directorial debut, Junction. The film, also featuring Bryan Greenberg, Jamie Chung, Ashley Madekwe, and Griffin Dunne, addressed the opioid crisis in America from various points of view. Next up, she can be seen in The Stranger in my Home, a feature film adaptation of Adele Parks’ best-selling novel set to be released by Paramount.
Bush currently hosts her popular podcasts, “Work in Progress with Sophia Bush” as well as “Drama Queens” alongside Hilarie Burton Morgan, Robert Buckley, and Bethany Joy Lenz, during which they relive and reclaim nine seasons of the beloved CW drama, “One Tree Hill.” “Drama Queens” has been extremely well received by the “One Tree Hill” fandom globally, and beyond.
Beyond entertainment, she's a dedicated activist and philanthropist, with a large focus on female empowerment causes. She has built three primary schools in Guatemala and Laos and served as a global ambassador for Glamour's The Girl Project under Cindi Leive. Alongside her business partner Nia Linder Batts, Bush is a General Partner and investor in Union Heritage Ventures, a majority African American and women-owned venture capital firm. The firm’s investments include Aunt Flow, Angel City FC, Fashionkind, Thinx, and PenPal Schools among others. Bush and Batts are also named Strategic Advisors of the First Women’s Bank, alongside Billie Jean King.
Bush co-founded and sits on the board for I am a voter® which is a nonpartisan movement that aims to create a cultural shift around voting and civic engagement by unifying around a central truth: our democracy works best when we all participate. In 2021, Sophia joined Fashionkind as a member of the advisory board. She works alongside founder and CEO Nina Farran to spotlight ethical and environmentally friendly luxury fashion produced by artisans around the world.
