Palmer Morse

Palmer Morse is a multi-disciplinary, award-winning filmmaker who focuses on using the on-hand devices of our visual and media culture to drive our society to make change. Interested in stories of humans, our planet and the interactions of the two, Palmer often works with organizations, nonprofits and brands to hone in on their mission in a visual format. He currently lives in Oakland, California, on the homelands of the Ohlone peoples and is the co-founder of Spruce Tone Films. Morse is the co-director of Being Hear (Mountainfilm 2017), Detroit Hives (Mountainfilm 2019 and 2018 Commitment Grant Winner), Water Flows Together and Venture Out (both Mountainfilm 2020). Morse’s short Elevated (Mountainfilm 2022) is a non-verbal film sharing Sonya Wilson’s experience as a deaf woman and outdoor advocate working to bridge the gap between the deaf community and the outdoor industry, one crag at a time. He recently directed Usugilix Awakun (Mountainfilm 2024).
