Jeremy Jones
Jeremy Jones is a snowboarder turned adventurer and climate activist. He grew up snowboard racing in New England and graduated to pioneering big mountain riding on the steep spines of Alaska. He created his own line of snowboards, including split boards Jones Snowboards. In 2012, Jones was nominated as a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year based on his achievements in conservation, humanitarianism and adventure sports. He is also the founder of the nonprofit organization Protect Our Winters that aims to engage and unite the snow sports community to fight climate change. In 2013, President Barack Obama recognized Jones as a Champion of Change. Debuting Deeper in 2010, Jones and Teton Gravity Research put out a three-part film series highlighting the adventerous spirit of backcountry snowboarding. Further and Higher followed in 2012 and 2014.
