Ian McCluskey
Emmy award-winning documentary filmmaker Ian McClusky is the founder of NW Documentary, a nonprofit organization that creates original documentaries and teaches others to craft their own stories. McCluskeys work has been featured in over 30 international film festivals, including Tribeca, London and Clermont-Ferrand. His work has also been presented at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Boston Museum of Fine Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Portland Art Museum, the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Museum of Photographic Arts. He collaborated with photojournalist Leah Nash to create two multimedia profiles of people living with aspergers syndrome and was the director of photography for the American Indian College Funds video Hope on the Rez. His film Summer Snapshot is a nostalgic short about the carefree days of young adulthood, using old-fashioned, Super-8 film to evoke a long day of running, swimming and singing at a swimming hole on the Sandy River. McCluskey directed Les Voyageurs Sans Trace, a film about a french team that kayaked both the Green and Colorado rivers in 1938 (Mountainfilm 2015). McCluskey lives in Portland, Oregon.
