Camilo de Castro
Camilo is an award-winning investigative journalist, activist and filmmaker exiled in Costa Rica. His career has been defined by daring and consistent journalism with a focus on socio-economic justice, conservation and indigenous rights. Co-directed with Brad Allgood, his latest film Patrol (Mountainfilm 2023) sheds a light on the struggle of indigenous groups in Nicaragua that are fighting to protect their ancestral lands from illegal cattle ranching.
