Brendan Young

Brendan Young, director of To Know a Place (Mountainfilm 2024) is a documentary and commercial director and a filmmaker based in Colorado. Born and raised in Washington D.C., he considers his grandmother’s work as a potter and painter his earliest exposure to art. From his grandfather, he learned a love for baked goods and trains. Taking pride in capturing intimate moments through a compelling lens, Brendan is drawn to stories that celebrate and help make sense of the world around us — films that bring us closer to understanding ourselves and others.
