Thank You!
Now that the dust has settled (or, more accurately, the snow has melted), were starting to feel almost rested here at the Mountainfilm offices. We hope the films, guests and art exhibitions inspired all of you as much as they impressed us.
Were feeling particularly grateful and want to extend thanks to everyone (guests, filmmakers, volunteers and festival staff) who helped make this year one of the smoothest on Mountainfilm record. And speaking of smooth, we turned fewer people away from full theaters, thanks to a new smartphone app and some strategic programming. This feat not only allowed 11 percent more people to attend the festival, but also resulted in more general happiness. (Look out, Bhutan.)
Congrats to all the 2014 Mountainfilm award winners. Without your inspiring work, Mountainfilm would be just a long networking conference. A few folks have inquired about how to donate to our Moving Mountains award winner, Tashi and the Monk, and the best way to help the orphanage is through jhamtsegatsal.org.
Please keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter, where were posting photos and reviews from the festival, and check in throughout the year for regular updates on issues that matter, cultures worth exploring, environments worth preserving, adventures worth pursuing and conversations worth sustaining.
Lastly, we spoke to lots of you while you were in Telluride, but if you didnt have a chance to tell us what you thought of #mfilm14, your feedback is always welcome.
